William R. Carney, Jr., M.D.
Dr. William R. Carney, Jr. is a dedicated family physician and proud native of Woodlawn, Tennessee. An enthusiast of fishing, hunting, and restoring antique automobiles, he finds joy in both nature and the arts. His strong work ethic was shaped by his experience working on a 120-acre farm in Port Royal, where he contributed to the cultivation of tobacco, wheat, corn, and cattle. Before pursuing his medical career, Dr. Carney also gained valuable insights as a blue-collar worker at Ashland City State Industries, where he was a line worker.
Dr. Carney attended Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee, for his undergraduate studies, and went on to earn his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine in Memphis. He completed his residency at the University of Tennessee Family Practice Center in Jackson, Tennessee.
He is an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Medical Association (AMA) and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Carney is certified by the American Board of Family Practice and has completed USMLE Steps 1, 2, and 3.
With extensive experience as an ER physician, Dr. Carney has worked at multiple hospitals, including Camden, Henry, Gibson General Hospitals, and Clarksville Memorial. He also served as the supervising physician for Robertson County's Jail, bringing his expertise to diverse healthcare environments.
Currently, Dr. Carney practices as a family physician at Northcrest Medical Center in Springfield, Tennessee. Driven by a desire to reconnect with his roots, he founded NorthStar Medical Group to enhance healthcare in his hometown.
Dr. Carney thrives on new challenges and is committed to making a positive impact in healthcare. He approaches his work with precision and confidence, leveraging his experience, wisdom, and intuition to make sound decisions that benefit his patients and community.

Elizabeth Bator, MSN, APRN
Elizabeth Bator AKA Beth, is a dedicated and experienced nursing professional with a robust background in cardiology and neurology. She earned her Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN-APRN) from a Christian college in Ohio in 2015. With a passion for patient care, Beth has served in military medicine at both Fort Campbell and Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado, where she honed her skills in diverse healthcare settings.
Beth specializes in endocrinology, with extensive experience in managing conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and chronic diseases like hypertension. Her commitment to patient-centered care is evident in her approach to managing complex health needs.
Currently, Beth is a valued member of the NorthStar Medical Group, where she continues to make a positive impact on her patients' lives. Outside of her professional endeavors, she enjoys spending time with her four grown children and six grandsons, cherishing every moment with her family.
Beth's dedication to healthcare and her compassionate nature make her an asset to the NorthStar Medical Group team and the community she serves.

Robert Crouch III, PA-C
Robert Crouch III is a dedicated Physician Assistant with over 21 years of experience in emergency medicine and urgent care. A proud Army veteran, he served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, during which he graduated from Interservice Physician Assistant Program (IPAP). His extensive training and experience have equipped him with a strong foundation in providing high-quality medical care.
In addition to his emergency medicine background, Mr. Crouch is highly skilled in managing orthopedic injuries and performing joint injections, making him a valuable asset in both urgent care settings and specialized orthopedic practices. His commitment to patient care and his military service background reflect his discipline and dedication to the field of medicine. Robert is a valuable addition to the NorthStar Medical Group Team, enhancing their ability to provide exceptional healthcare services.

Beatrice Nuñez, M.A.
Beatrice Nunez was born in Cuba, where her journey in medicine began. She studied medicine at the University of Science and Medicine, "Ceinfuegos Raúl Dorticós Torrado," in Cuba. After moving to Miami, Florida Beatrice got her certification for phlebotomy and medical assistant. She then moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, and is currently working towards her nursing license.
Her extensive knowledge in medicine has been evident during her time working alongside Dr. Aquino at North Clarksville Medical Center. Beatrice is dedicated to providing quality care for her patients and continues to enhance her skills in the medical field.

Karen L. Orozco
Practice Manager
Karen Orozco was born in the Canal Zone, Panama. She began her career as an administrative assistant for the Garrison commander at Fort Clayton's Army Headquarters. Her medical journey started at the Gorgas Army Surgical Recovery Ward and Gorgas Morgue.
Due to her military family background, Karen moved to Tennessee, where she worked as an airplane dispatcher and certified FAA test proctor at Volunteer Flight School and North Central Institute. She then relocated to California where she worked at Pebble Beach, Beverly Health Care Assistant Living, enriching her healthcare experience.
Later, Karen moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, attending Piedmont College while working as a logistics manager at Pharmaceutical Research Associates (PRA), working in the education department where she serviced over 18 countries globally.
Returning to Clarksville, Tennessee, she continued her studies at Hopkinsville College and served as the office manager for the team that opened the Amedisys office in Clarksville. She also spent several years managing Clarksville Medical Center.
After a successful management career, Karen returned to school to complete her bachelor's degree at Austin Peay State University and ventured into entrepreneurship, and is currently running a successful photography company. Nonetheless, her passion for healthcare and commitment to her community led her back to the medical field. As Practice Manager, Karen is dedicated to providing quality care for patients with professionalism and compassion.

Mildred Peña Santiago
Administrative Assistant & Billing
Mildred Santiago hails from Brooklyn New York, where her passion for health care began early. She graduated from Clara Barton High School, specializing in health professions, and earned her Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and Administrative Role of a Medical Assistant (MA) certificates. Mildred has gained valuable experience working at various medical facilities including Arlington Medical and Dr. Hennis Dental Office which are both in Brooklyn, New York. She then moved to Clarksville and worked at Centennial Pediatrics and North Clarksville Medical Center.

Driven to further her education, Mildred pursued a degree in Medical Billing and Coding from Hussian College. She gained experience working as a biller and a administrative assistant at North Clarksville Medical Center. Mildred's diverse background and commitment to patient care make her a vital part of our team.

Hope Parrish
Front Desk
A proud graduate of Dickson County High School, she earned the Dean’s Scholarship during her senior year while dually enrolled at Austin Peay State University. Her journey took her to Hawaii when her husband received new military orders, where she embraced the challenges and opportunities of military life.
After returning to Clarksville, Tennessee, Hope gained valuable leadership experience in the restaurant industry, where she honed her customer service skills in high-pressure environments. In her roles at two local restaurants, she learned to manage diverse customer needs, resolve conflicts, and create welcoming atmospheres that fostered repeat business. These experiences taught her the importance of effective communication and adaptability.
Hope then transitioned to North Clarksville Medical Centers, where she further expanded her expertise in patient front desk services. There, she developed a deep understanding of healthcare, learning to navigate sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism. Her ability to connect with patients and address their concerns made her a trusted resource for both patients and staff.
Hope has become an integral part of the NorthStar family. As the first point of contact for patients, she takes pride in ensuring that everyone who walks through the door or calls in feels welcomed and supported. Her dedication to providing outstanding care and assistance is at the heart of what we do at NorthStar. With her extensive background in customer service and patient care, Hope is committed to helping our patients receive the support they deserve, making their experience as positive and seamless as possible.
